POLISH HOTEL MARKET

In the year 2000 the long awaited by the tourist sector, increase of arrivals to Poland took place, when the boarder was crossed by some 61.9 million foreigners, indicating a 19% increase when compared with the previous year. Based on the estimations of the Institute of Tourism the rate at which the market is currently growing should keep the steady pace until 2007, when the number of arrivals should exceed 16 million. The structure of arrivals is also forecasted to change and the number of traditional arrivals and business trips is to grow, while the number of one-day-trips is to fall.
